It is important to know that in order to be a website to be successful is it have to be known by many. Why? It is very basic, people will come to your website because they know you. How are we going to do that? You must first get listed on most web directory. It helps your website to be search-able and easy to find. Making that is easy, most of the directories of today offers free listing. All you have to do is list your website. We have seen a lot of successful website on the Internet, all of them are listed.They do all sorts of search engine optimization thing, and I have no idea on most of them. But what I’m doing is continues learning.
It is advisable to get listed on most directories including those major ones like DMOZ and Yahoo directory for example. These guys will help you, I guarantee that. It doesn’t mean that if list your website now you will find it now as well, it is not like that. Some directories takes days or weeks for the listing to be approved. So it is very important to study your website. What I’m saying is, try to focus on your site. If your site is a business related then list that on a business web directory, it is a technology one then list that on a technology directory and so on and so fort. Making a site focus on one specific category is a lot easier, because most likely you are going to concentrate on one topic.
Try to learn search engine optimization, by the way, what I discussed here are only parts of that. It is never to late to learn, it is not important if you didn’t achieve what you want on the first time, there is always a second time.
