Get listed on web directories. February 27th, 2010

Making a website is easy, if you got a domain name, a good hosting service provider and contents then you are ready to go. But having a successful one is the hardest part, you have to consider a lot of factors. The first thing is a good domain name, essentially if your website offering a product of something like selling ice cream, you might not want to pick a domain name that sells pizza or something. The second one, a good hosting service that have a wide bandwidth, lots of disk space and of course very little down time rate. The third one creating a good content to attract customers or readers. How it is done, there are lots of guide lines available on the Internet.

Doing all that, how can you promote your website? How will every one know that your website is existing? And that brings us to the “promoting” stuff. Basically a website needs to be listed on a web directory, and I say it is a must if you want your website to be known. If you can, make your website listed on all directories available. Like me, I go for free web directory listing with no cost at all but will give your site a big help. Always make sure that you include your website on those big directories like on DMOZ, Yahoo directory, etc. Also, a very important thing to do is make your site listed on where it is related. You do not list it on a directory of book websites if your website is something else. That is why creating a good and consistent content is very important. It is okay if you have a general blog or something general content, but if you are concentrating on one subject, I recommend that your maintain your niche. Well these are just my idea, but I am sure that they are close to what is the reality.

Blogs are effective medium. February 22nd, 2010

Blogs are great medium to express what we want. Actually, you can do what ever you want on it like sharing things, create lots of opinion towards things and most of all making lots and lots of reviews about certain things or website. When making a review of a certain website, both blogger and the owner of the site benefits from each other. Let say that you can give some extra cash for the blogger to write a review for your website, in that way many people will know that your website exists. It is a great way of making lots of back links towards to your website, which is a good thing. Why? Your website will become more important and will be viewed most of the time, it’s kinda an SEO thing. For a blogger, depending on the deal. He can be offered to get a free link from the website he reviewed towards to his or her website, or he will be paid for doing so.

Actually, at some point you have to be professional of what you are doing. What you are writing are exposed to millions of hungry readers out there. And many of them are good writers as well, so if you are thinking of getting some good response from them, then write good reading materials and get listed on some directories like on dmoz. It helps a lot actually, to make your blog even more effective.

Digestive problem. February 5th, 2010

Goblet cell tumours are characterized by a predominant submucosal growth, widespread infiltration of the periappendiceal fat in all cases and extensive perineural invasion. They usually lack the formation of a welldefined tumour mass. The mucosa is characteristically spared. Tumours are composed of small, rounded nests of signet ring-like cells resembling intestinal goblet cells. The cells stain strongly positive for mucicarmine, periodic acid-Schiff, periodic acid-Schiff diastase, alcian blue, cytokeratin, and carcinoembryonic antigen. A proportion of cells are positive with chromogranin and synaptophysin antibodies. Electron microscopy demonstrates the presence of mucinous vacuoles of varying sizes and occasional membrane-bound neuroendocrine granules. Increased expression of cell proliferation markers and cell cycle markers was observed. GCC (Goblet Cell Carcinomaare) not well represented in studies that have analysed the prognostic value of a number of molecular or pathological factors such as mitotic activity, Ki-67, overexpression and reduced staining of E-cadherin p21 in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumours. Thus, no recommendation is available yet.

A complete pathological examination report requires ancillary immunohistochemical tests such as CgA, synaptophysin, and PAS-AB to differentiate other tumour entities. SSR2 or other IHC markers for tumour cell subtyping or malignant behaviour like B -catenin, catestatin A, E-cadherin, P53 or P21 are not required, because their prognostic value is not validated in GCC. Mitotic index and Ki-67 should be assessed following the consensus recommendations, but their correlation with prognosis is unclear in GCC.

Hemicolectomy is considered the standard surgical treatment of GCC with additional bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy in female patients. Selection of a more conservative surgery, such as appendectomy, should be carefully individualized in cases without any risk factor for locoregional spread or metastases or in fragile patients. Treatment of liver metastases might follow standard procedures for neuroendocrine tumours.
